Targeted Therapy

Targeted Therapy is a newer type of cancer treatment that uses drugs or other substances to more precisely identify and attack cancer cells. Unlike chemotherapy, Targeted Therapy often does less damage to the normal healthy cells surrounding the affected area of treatment. Chemotherapy affects the region or area where the cancer is located, whereas Targeted Therapy focuses on the specific tumor or cancer cells. Targeted Therapy drugs tend to have different side effects than standard chemotherapy drugs.

Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy stimulates and aids the immune system to eradicate cancer cells more efficiently. Immunotherapy is a proven treatment effective in preventing the growth and spread of cancer cells

Hormone Therapy

Some cancers, such as breast and prostate cancer, depend on hormones to grow. Hormone Therapy can kill cancer cells either by inhibiting the production of hormones that stimulate cancer cells or by inhibiting growth signals from the hormone receptors of the tumor cells.
