Impacted Wisdom Teeth

Surgical extractions for impacted wisdom teeth involve the removal of teeth that have not emerged from under the gum line. Impacted wisdom teeth can result in swelling, pain, and infection of the surrounding gum tissue. During this procedure, a small opening is made in your gum line and your tooth is gently extracted. Once the process is complete, your gum will be sutured shut.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth extractions are performed on teeth that are visible in the mouth, usually under local anesthesia using instruments to remove the visible portion of the tooth with slow, steady pressure applied at a controlled force. Teeth may sometimes need to be removed if they are damaged beyond repair. For example, teeth that have been badly damaged by decay, an oral injury, or gum disease may need to be extracted and replaced with a denture, dental bridge, or implant. Tooth extraction may also be necessary for orthodontic purposes. This is rarer, but if your teeth are extremely crowded, the removal of a few teeth may be required to correct your smile.

Bone Graft Surgery

Bone graft surgery is done to replace missing bone or when there is insufficient bone for implant placement. An incision is made in your gum to gain access to the bone beneath it, and then the grafting material is added. Today’s technology can repair the inadequate bone in preparation for dental implants through bone grafting, restoring functionality, and esthetic appearance.

Dental implants are replacement tooth roots for missing teeth. Dental implants are done in two stages. The first stage involves the surgical placement on the implant posts. The second stage is a non-surgical stage of fitting the prosthetics on the dental implants.

All-On-4 dental implants is a surgical technique and prosthodontics procedure for total rehabilitation of teeth for patients who are toothless or have severely broken teeth. Instead of using an implant for every missing tooth, you can simply use four implants on top and four on the bottom as the main anchors. The dentist can attach a denture at those spots.

Pre-prosthetic Surgery

Pre-prosthetic surgery involves surgical treatment done prior to the placement of a prosthetic. The ultimate goal of pre-prosthetic surgery is to prepare a mouth to receive a dental prosthesis by redesigning and smoothening bony edges to ensure the maximum level of comfort.
